Shopmobility Lisburn at the Bow Street Mall

What is Shopmobility ?

  • Shopmobility Lisburn is a scheme providing powered scooters, wheelchairs and manual wheelchairs. These aids enable people with mobility impairments to shop and use other facilities in Bow Street Mall and Lisburn city centre.

Who can use Shopmobility ?

  • Anyone with mobility problems can use Shopmobility, whether through permanent or temporary impairment, illness, accident or age.

When is it open ?

How much does it cost ?

  • "Nothing", however, as Shopmobility Lisburn is a charity, any and all donations are gratefully received. All money raised is used to improve the service, purchase new mobility aids and help towards the running costs of the scheme.

Registration

  • You will be required to register at the Shopmobility Lisburn desk, for insurance purposes. Proof of identity, (e.g. driving licence, pension book etc.), must be provided when you register.
  • If you are not familiar with the use of powered scooters or wheelchairs, there are volunteers willing to show you how to use them. When you are comfortable and confident, Bow Street Mall and Lisburn city centre awaits you !



Bookings

  • It is advisable to book in advance on peak shopping days, to ensure a suitable mobility aid is available. Our security team can take bookings outside normal opening hours.

Arriving by mini-bus or community transport

  • There are set down points outside the Antrim street main entrance. We can arrange to meet you on request, with any mobility aids that may have been pre-booked.

  • Shopmobility Lisburn at Bow Street Mall is now located on the first floor carpark with access at the 3 passenger lifts by the Antrim Street doors.
