Kerrie’s Grand Design
Kerrie Rush, a 14-year-old pupil at Fort Hill Integrated College was the winner of our competition to design a friend for Bow.
Kerrie’s expertly crafted creation will now appear on the Bow Street Mall Christmas television advert and has gained the teenager a certain degree of notoriety back at school.
‘I just couldn’t believe it when I heard that I had won,’ said Kerrie. ‘I thought, is this really happening to me?
‘I was in the middle of making some party invites on the computer for my brother [Joshua] when I heard the news and when I went into to school the class all clapped and cheered.’
Amazingly it took Kerrie just 25 minutes to complete the entry that came top in this nationwide competition. I suppose you could say it was a ‘Rush’ job!
